Choir Stoles
A choir stole is a simple musical accessory that is made of cloth. Due to its aesthetic beauty, stoles make excellent additions to choir robes or vestments. Choir stoles usually define the fashion of choir singers and are an easy way to distinguish one's self from the others.
In addition to silk or velvet stoles, other types of fabrics can also be used in the making of stoles, including satin and lace; they can be as plain or as elaborate as the designer wishes. Stoles can be made in any color, although some types of fabric are more expensive than others.
A very simple style of a choir stole typically consists of a front button-up portion with a back that is cut straight across at the neckline of the garment and then is pleated horizontally to about 4 inches below the waistline. This style provides for a very sleek, modern look that is very appealing to some church choirs who desire a more subdued look to their attire. Many different styles are available, from the very simple to the extremely intricate.
